The goal of the Vapor Helmet was to increase climber safety by getting climbers who never wore a helmet before to wear one: make the lightest, sleekest, and most comfortable helmet on the market, to the point they wouldn't even notice it on their head.
After significant brainstorming, research, and material testing, this vision was realized with a breakthrough in the use of kevlar and carbon fiber that allowed the helmet to be 25% thinner and lighter than previous designs. This was matched with an aggressive and breathable shell design, and an innovative webbing system to further reduce weight and reduce the amount of material touching the face.
Working with regulatory bodies and testing labs, it was the lightest helmet to pass all certifications for climbing helmets.
